Victor Alves presenting at the New England ASC Conference

Thank You to the Massachusetts Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers

Grateful for the Opportunity to Present at the New England ASC Conference

I’d like to extend my sincere thanks to the Massachusetts Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (MAASC) for inviting me to speak at the New England ASC Conference. It was an honor to present “Protecting Your Patients, Your Practice, and Your License: Avoiding Controlled Substance Diversion” on October 24th at 10:00 AM.

Controlled substance diversion remains a serious concern across healthcare settings, and ambulatory surgery centers face unique challenges when it comes to maintaining compliance, protecting staff and patients, and safeguarding their reputation. During the session, I had the opportunity to discuss practical strategies, real-world examples, and actionable steps that ASC leaders can use to strengthen their diversion prevention programs.

A huge thank-you to MAASC President, Greg DeConciliis for organizing this important event and for his continued commitment to advancing patient safety and operational excellence in ambulatory surgery centers across New England.

It was a pleasure connecting with so many dedicated professionals who share a commitment to protecting patients and upholding the highest standards of care.
