October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the OctariusRx team is recognizing the annual campaign to increase awareness of this disease.

According to the American Cancer Society (ACS), approximately 1 in 8 women (13%) will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in their lifetime and 1 in 39 women (3%) will die from breast cancer.  Breast cancer can also occur in men, but it is rare and accounts for less than one percent of all breast cancer cases in the United States.

Everyone knows someone who has been affected by breast cancer, either directly or indirectly.  Take some time this month to honor those who have either fought or are currently fighting this dreaded disease by raising awareness, fundraising, or volunteering to help those in need.
